Perhaps you've heard this term before, or maybe not.  Ghost writers aren't spooky like in cartoons, that bring terror to others.  No, ghost writers are writers who hire out their writing talents to others for a fee.  They get none of the credit for the book after it is written.  The person who hired them gets all the credit as the author.  Ghost writers are use frequently by businesses on the internet to write selling content for them.  To develop fresh ideas to attract others to their sites.  Also, many famous people use them, even other authors, and when this is done it is often call a collaboration, and often will list the ghost writers name somewhere on the book as a co-author.  If this sounds good to you, then you may want to do research on ghost writing.  It can be very profitable.  Most ghost writers are paid in advance before they even start to write. A contract is usually signed between the actual author, who's name will be on the book, and the ghost writer who will actually be writing it for them.  Now lets talk about money, I'm sure that is of interest to you, right!  Well, let me tell you that many ghost writers can charge as low as $10 dollars, and it can go up to $25,000.  Often the author will ask for the ghost writers to bid on writing their book, and will choose the bid they consider the best, and reasonable price for them. As you can see ghost writing can pull in lots of money for you.  So how do you become a ghost writer?  Here's the scoop!  Get lots of experience as a freelance writer, publish articles, stories, other books, under your own name to get yourself recognized.  Offer your services to newspapers, small magazines, anywhere  you can get experience that will help your resume grow.  Authors who want ghost writers will want to see your portfolio .  They're not going to hire a writer who has nothing to show of his work.  As you can see, the writing world has a large field of opportunities for the writer.  All you have to do is choose what you want to do, and go for it!
