Why Do You Write?
Why do You Write?
That's a question every writer should ask himself. Do you write for the love of writing, for the story that's within you that has to get out, for the passion and sheer joy of just seeing your book in print? Maybe you've gone to a bookstore and you have seen books on the shelves and you looked at some of the covers and read the blurbs on the back, and have thought to yourself, I could do that. Is that what makes you want to write a book? Or perhaps you read some books and you thought they published this? I could write better than that. Is that the reason that you write? Or maybe you have something that you want to tell, something, that would benefit society and help someone else? is that a reason you write? These are questions that you should ask yourself, but in the end, the answer should always be because you have the love of writing there's a passion in you that you love to put words together and bring meaning to them and help them to reflect your feelings about the world. Or maybe show other people that they are not alone in this world, that you are suffered or going through a lot of things like they have. You must decide why you write, don't just write for the money. Some people do write for the money. They see books on the shelves, Romance Books, how-to books, fantasy books, sci-fi books, and know the famous author’s names and think they could make a lot of money like these people if they wrote a similar book. That's never the reason to write a book. Money should always be secondary, or third for writing a book. You should always write because you loved it. Write because you have the passion, a thirst that can’t be quenched until you put it down on paper. So I asked you today why do you write?
