Hey, you were writing so good, then suddenly you can't seem to write a thing. What happened???? Well you've come to a point in writing called, "Writers Block" Now writers block isn't a street where all writers live( just a bit of humor here-smile) no, it's when you reach a point where the words just don't seem to come, or flow anymore. It can be scary. Will they ever come again, you wonder. Well, I can assure you that they will. All writers at some point have suffered with this. It's like you've hit a brick wall.
What do you do? The first thing to do is relax. You're not alone. Usually this happens when you have to many ideas in your mind. You may be trying to plot your novel, pick your characters, choose a setting, , all at the same time. Step back and tackle one thing at a time. A writer's mind often holds many ideas. Build a folder, put your ideas inside and see which one you really want to work on. Maybe it isn't a novel, but a short story which is really where you want to start. Short story's can be a great, and less lengthy than a novel. It's good to take a break. Work on something different, take a walk, have fun, get your mind off of writing for awhile. Then come back refreshed for another go at it. Often you will find that what you wrote really doesn't fit your story, and you must go back and do a rewrite. You didn't see it then, but you do now. Never be afraid to rewrite, that's a part of a writers journey. Never stop writing, just step away for awhile knowing it's just a part of your writers world!

J.K Rowling- Harry Potter Fantasy Series
