Self Publishing!

Perhaps you are seriously thinking about self-publishing. Perhaps you would love to go with a traditional publisher, but don't have the funds now. Self-publishing is great. It gives you the opportunity to see your book in print sooner than a traditional publisher and can offer you many options. Most can help you design your cover(front & back), and even more options, like promoting, marketing, & press releases at a very low price. But, what if you want to go with a traditional publisher sometime later? You might be wondering if you might get into trouble with the self-publishing site where your book is listed for sale. What do you do? You don't want to be sued. Well, here's some information that can answer that question for you. Today I did a search on the web to answer my own question on that subject. Here's the quote I copied so you can read it for yourself. "Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Google Play, Lulu, etc., are nothing more than retailers. You can even sell through your own website if you want to. The only time you cannot publish elsewhere is if you sign an exclusivity agreement with a retailer. This means you will only sell your product through that retailer for a specific period of time. (Ex.: Amazon’s KDP Select program requires at least 90-days of exclusivity. You can’t sell your book anywhere else during that period. Including your own website.)" Well, now you & I both have the answer to that question. We are the publishers of our books & can sale, or list them anywhere we want to. There's nothing to stop us now. The world is our oyster, and our books are the pearl of great price just waiting to be discovered!
