Romance 4 You Today!

Well, I'm taking a break and doing something I really love to do, writing romantic stories. A complete romantic story, right here on my blog., for the next three days. Its my way of relaxing during all this virus stuff. I would so love to write for other publishers one day for TV, Movies etc! So read and enjoy this little love story below. This is not the size printed size of the story its in regular print size 14 on Amazon & Kindle, its small here just for this site purposes. “Her hearts new Home” Alexandra Bocharova had heard many stories about America, how people changed, forgetting their families and their friends once they got off the boats. She knew first hand how true this was. Alexei had promised he would send for her, once he was established....but he never did. She looked out over the waves. The captain said by tomorrow they would be in New York. It was where Alexei was. A tear trickled down her delicate cheek. She was all alone now. It had taken all her strength and courage to come to America. Budapest was the only home she'd ever known, and she loved it. But with the death of her parents and the small estate that was left to her, she knew what she had to do. Alexei had made a vow of marriage to her, and she was going to make sure he kept that vow. She felt strange as the ship docked that morning. She watched passengers as they left the boat and rushed into the arms of their love ones. She could almost feel the warmth of the kisses they were exchanging, as they hugged and smiled, then rushed off together to their private destinations She felt a slight fear overtake her as she walked from the boat. She had been warned by others in her country about the gangsters and hoodlums in America, and how they preyed on young women who were all alone. That was the reason she chose to hide her looks under mens clothing. Her long black curly hair was fixed tightly under a cap she had kept from Alexei when they were together. She pulled at the trousers that were beginning to fall off her hips. They were her fathers and she wanted to keep something of his to remember him by. Her slim delicate fingers caressed the locket that was around her neck. Tears began to fill her eyes as she thought about the birthday party when her mother gave the locket to her. Everyone was gone now. All she had was Alexei. Although her accent was noticeable she spoke English well because it was one of the languages that was required of all students in her high school before the could graduate. To be in a foreign country and have no knowledge of the language would be the worst fear of all. She noticed a yellow car not far from where she stood. The strange man seemed to be waving at her. Reluctantly she waved back....she didn't want to seem unfriendly. She tried to ignore him, but he kept waving. Slowly she towards the yellow car. She could see that the man was quite handsome. He was tall with wavy brown hair, wearing black pants . She almost laughed as they seemed to be to big too like hers were. He had on a gray suit coat and his shoes had holes large enough to fit a coin in on the toe. Was he one of the gangsters she had been warned about. She backed away as he came closer. She noticed his brown eyes...they didn't seem threatening to her. Suddenly he reached down causing her to jump back as he reached and scooped up all her bags and put them in the trunk of the yellow car, as she stood mesmerized. What was he doing she wondered. There was no way she was going to let him take all the possessions she had in the world. She rushed at him, kicking him and screaming at the same time. “Give them back,” she yelled as her foot caught the side of his jaw. Her self-defense class was turning out to be quite useful after all. “Ouch,” he moaned cupping his jaw with one hand, as his other hand held her firmly. As hard as she struggled, there was no escape. She scolded herself for not paying more attention in defense class...maybe if she had, instead of talking with Gina she would be able to get herself free from his grip...but she could not! She could feel the hot breath from his nostrils, and see the fire in his brown eyes. Suddenly his grip loosened and she fell back to the ground forcing the hat from her head. With her secret out, she scrambled to her feet quickly, fist ready to fight as he advanced towards her. “Oh my God, his hands grabbed her by the shoulders forcing her to look at him. “Your a girl, he said with a chuckle...and a pretty one at that.” “I'm not a girl...she yelled back at him...I'm a full grown woman....Let go of me you American gangster if you don't let go of me, I'm going to kick you somewhere bad.” She lowered her eyes passed his stomach. He released his grip. “I'm not a gangster, he said scratching his head in confusion. And this is a cab...do you know what a cab is..or what it does?” She backed away as she shook her head. “No...what is cab?” He walked back to his cab, taking all her luggage out . Then walked back and dumped them all at her feet. “Cabs give rides young lady..or excuse me...I forgot...you're a woman right?...cabs take people to where they want to go.” Then she watched him as he walked away. He got into his cab and started the engine. She quickly realized that she had made a mistake. She needed to get to Alexei. She reached into her pocket, pulling the letter out that had the address she need to get to. “Wait,” she yelled. But the car was moving...not listening to her. There was only one thing she could do. So she threw herself in front of it, hiding her face in her hands waiting for the impact! She heard the brakes as they came to a screeching halt, and then she heard feet running swiftly towards her, and stop. “Are you crazy...I almost hit you, he said in almost a whisper.” “Is she dead daddy?” The small voice was on the edge of tears. Alexandra removed her hands from her eyes, and looked up into the face of a young child. “No honey, the lady was just playing a game...a silly game that's all.” Alexandra got to her feet quickly. “Yes it was just a game...I'm fine.” Alexandra could see his eyes glaring at her. The child smiled and wiped away the tears as she ran to her, hugging her tightly around the neck. Alexandra was surprised...no one had hugged her since she came to America and it felt good and brought tears to her eyes.. The child looked to be about six or seven, with dark curly hair in braids and with a dark complexion like the man driving the cab, and wore thick glasses. Her heart went out to her for scaring her . She herself remembered how it felt to be afraid when her father left and went off to war in Budapest. “I 'm sorry I frightened you, she said softly, really I am. Children should never be frightened.” She turned away not wanting them to see the tears that were starting to fill her eyes. “Could you please take me to this place. She shoved the letter with Alexei's address on it into the cabbie's hand. Please?” He was silent for a long moment, then walked over , picked up her bags again and put them in the trunk, still not saying a word. She got in quickly and sat beside the child, as he started the engine once more to take her to Alexei....it was where she belonged. Finally the cab came to a stop. “This is it, he said turning and looking at her. The address on the letter...this is the place.” He pointed to a tall brown brick building in front of them. All Alexandra could see were windows, many windows, some with flowers in them, them while others were plain looking. She opened the door and got out. She wondered what Alexei would think of her coming to America with out waiting for him to send for her as he said. Her steps were slow as she approached the building. She took the steps one at a time as her mind wandered to seeing Alexei again...kissing his lips...touching his face...and the feel of is arms around her once more. She was just about to turn the knob on the door when it opened. A man and a very pregnant woman stepped out. It was Alexei. He pushed by her, his arm around the woman. Alexandra noticed her beauty. Her long brown hair and eyes, and how happy she was as she smiled at her as they passed. She wore find clothes like the one's in the magazines she looked through while on the boat. Clothes she fantasized wearing for Alexei. She watched as Alexei pulled the woman close and kissed her a long time, then they went happily down the stairs laughing. He never once looking in her direction. He never had any intentions of ever sending for her, why should he when he had someone else. Her heart sank as the tears began to flow and she collapsed on the steps. “Hey, we'll have none of this.” The voice of the cab driver was familiar to her now. She thought he had left, but there he stood. She hadn't noticed how really handsome he was, as he sat down on the steps beside her. “Was that your young man?” Alexandra straightened herself up, and brushed the tears from her eyes “ Yes, that was Alexei. But I don't need him, she looked up into the cabbie's eyes, brushing away more tears that had fallen. I strong woman. I make it on my own.” His eyes searched hers. “Yes, I think you will,” He helped her up from the step. I'm Angelo Gallivant. He extended his hand to her. I'm really not cab driver at all...I just moonlight once in a while when I'm bored. I actually just doing this to help out a sick friend. I'm a banker.” “What is moonlight?''she asked as they walked back to the cab that was now parked at the front of the building. He smiled as he opened the cab door and she got in. “I'll explain it to you later. Where to now?” he leaned down beside the cab door. Alexandra shook her head sadly. I have no one now...no place to go, so I go back to boat...maybe they let me work for boat. “No going back to the boat, she said. He looked at her. You'll come home with us until we figure something out.” He reached over and squeezed her hand. “You can trust me...I'm no gangster.” He smiled at her. Alexandra smiled back knowing he was making funny joke. Then he closed the door and went back and got behind the wheel again. Could she trust this handsome stranger...for some reason her heart said she could. “I've been looking for a nanny for my daughter Gina. I pay well and you could keep it as long as you like...or until you decide to move on. You'd live on my estate, have your own private room and furnished meals.” Alexandra looked at him confused... .”What is nanny?” He laughed again...but Alexandra knew he wasn't making fun of her. “That's another thing I'll have to explain too.” He shook his head, then continued to drive. She thought a few moments. She was all alone...her parents were dead..and Alexi was no longer a part of her life. “I do for you..I take nanny.” She smiled up into the mirror to him. But only for a while, then I give money back to you, okay?” He looked up into the mirror and nodded back to her. She looked over at the small child fast asleep on the seat beside her. She caressed her hair gently and eased her into her lap. She would take care of her...be a good nanny...what ever that meant, and tell Gina all about her homeland Budapest . A homeland she would never forget. But she knew whatever the future held for her, she would survive and make America her hearts new home! The End ( More Stories To Come!)
